Good on him for doing so. Merit over feels.
If a brain surgeon was about to operate on you and you found out they were recently hired on DEI criteria they held over applicants with more experience and skillsets, would that sit well with you?So you don't have an issue with DEI unless it affects you personally?
No, and neither do incompetent people at any level who have been hired/promoted on the basis of DEI. This has created a poisonous atmosphere wherein competent people of all backgrounds are afraid to mention it.If a brain surgeon was about to operate on you and you found out they were recently hired on DEI criteria they held over applicants with more experience and skillsets, would that sit well with you?
You are certain of that? You are certain that people’s protected class status have not usurped credentials and experience?No, and neither do incompetent people at any level who have been hired/promoted on the basis of DEI. This has created a poisonous atmosphere wherein competent people of all backgrounds are afraid to mention it.
Back to the Good Ole Days, we can go back to our racist ways and not worry about being punished for it.Yes! All this was, was pandering and wasting our tax dollars. And a lot of funny stuff going on.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday rescinding President Lyndon B. Johnson’s Executive Order 11246, which mandated government contractors take affirmative action.
The order more broadly ceases diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) “discrimination in the federal workforce, and in federal contracting and spending,” the White House noted.The federal government’s hiring practices will now be merit-based, with employees being rewarded for “individual initiative, skills, performance, and hard work.”One major facet of Trump’s move is terminating Johnson’s 1965 order.Under Trump’s order, the Office of Management and Budget will “streamline the federal contracting process to enhance speed and efficiency, reduce costs, and require Federal contractors and subcontractors to comply with our civil rights laws,” a White House fact sheet notes.Furthermore, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs will not be allowed to pressure “contractors to balance their workforce based on race, sex, gender identity, sexual preference, or religion” under the order.The White House states that “radical DEI” has reversed “progress made in the decades since the Civil Rights Act of 1964 toward a colorblind and competence-based workplace” and that DEI encourages authoritarianism....

Back to merit effort and accomplishment instead of gimmies because you are blackBack to the Good Ole Days, we can go back to our racist ways and not worry about being punished for it.
When has it ever been based on merit? Oh that's right when whites had the advantage.Back to merit effort and accomplishment instead of gimmies because you are black
What did I say about Negroes that is not true? I did not say, and I do not believe, that all Negroes are stupid, promiscuous criminals. Nevertheless, Negroes are more likely to be this way than whites. Thay are far more likely to be this way than Orientals.thanks for verifying what i said about you....
Whites have created the most advanced, the most affluent, and the most humane civilization in history. Orientals are catching up with us. Negroes are not.When has it ever been based on merit? Oh that's right when whites had the advantage.
~~~~~~You seem to have forgotten the first 190 years of this nation's existence. Don't tell me what I should be thinking when you cannot even remember the history of your own people and live in a iie.
I'm casting another vote for Trump for good measure. Forced integration is racist. Let every individual (black, white, and brown) enjoy the personal freedom of choice. If blacks and browns prefer to hang out with other blacks and browns or attend their own black and brown schools -- let them. If they choose to live in predominantly black and brown neighborhoods then let them. Keep the government out of their personal business. Freedom is a gift from God and I hope Trump protects our individual freedoms.
You must be enraged that your pacifier will be withdrawn superbadblubberer
Since not every black child in the few cities you talk about can't read, do not ask me questions based on your racist beliefs. Here is a person from St. Louis for you and she most certainly can read.~~~~~~
Why is it that although "Democrats" have been in the majority for more than a decade the education of our children has been so badly handled and that is especially for the Black American?
Why is it that a black child in Baltimore, Chicago, Minneapolis, Brooklyn, St. Louis can not read, write cursor, or add, subtract and divide?
Is it the racism, the Federal Education system, or the quality of teachers?
Wrong.Despite the leftists’ insistence that different outcomes are all about environment, the fact is that many attributes associated with success - even one’s degree of motivation - are heritable. Some people are just smarter and more driven than others.
It’s largely innate, although nurture can bring out the best in an inidividual. But the fact is that you will never turn someone with a 95 IQ into a rocket scientist.
Show me a rocket scientist with an IQ of 95, and I will show you a beneficiary of affirmative action who probably cannot explain what the periodic table is.Wrong.
I linked to the NIH site. So you know more than NIH scientists?Wrong.
