I personally am one of the countless world Catholics who would like to be the next Pope. I suppose there are not so many non-Catholics, like Donald Trump, who would like that job, but whatever. I would do a better job than Pope Frank did - not such a high bar, I admit, but...

The US President jokingly said he would nominate himself to lead the Roman Catholic Church following the death of Pope Francis aged 88.

Speaking as he left the White House to hold a rally marking his first 100 days in office, Mr Trump — who is not Catholic — told reporters: "I'd like to be Pope. That would be my number one choice.”
