That makes sense. Why would any President not want FISA reform after that was covertly used to carry out an attempted coup against him?

I think its just age. At 74 he needs to think about hanging it up.

He doesn't have the leverage with these people. How could he ?
You gotta remember, the NSA ( which means FBI and CIA covert ties, not mentioning names) has probably been watching and listening to him for at least 4 years, plus who knows what dirt they have from the Cohen -office break-in, his IRS records etc...

He doesn't want to leave the White House and be escorted straight to prison.
And remember, there's a reason Michael Cohen only got 3 years - he cut some secret deal to testify when Trump's out of office ? Who knows ? One thing about justice for some....it's very patient.
