Well, driver-controlled cars crash too, and i don't think driverless cars crash frequently, so this may just be a case of jealousy by Trump, due to Musk's enormously successful enterprises.

He's got a point. You don't start selling people on driverless cars until they're ready be safe on the road. And you don't get people excited about manned missions to Mars that will never happen.

Apples and oranges, driverless cars are only allowed on specifically monitored stretches of highway and under controlled circumstances.

Also, when a teenager gets drunk and kills all his friends in a horrific car crash on prom night. We can't blame the Camray.

But ... if a driverless car kills someone, you can only point to the technology and (ultimately) to the company who claimed it was safe.

That is a suckers bet as after Biden is gone he will not try and stay in power and will not still be holding pep rallies or be talking about running again.

Theres a definate place for that technology! I think its great however there are quite a few limitations if you're talking about driving around town. The human brain is still far ahead of any computer.. you often calculate what another driver or pedestrian is about to do before they even do it... based on non verbal communication with each other... all while you're taking into account what is happening on the road simultaneously.
