Donald Trump Visited The Border Wall That Obama Built and Tried Taking Credit For It. Sound familiar? re: "AP fact check: Trump takes credit for Obama’s gains for vets?" Not sure why Trump keeps doing this, but here we are -- again:

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump came here on Thursday to heap praise on the structure standing to his right — “the Rolls-Royce of walls,” he called it — and lament the unused segments lying to his left. Joining him there, Border Patrol union leader Paul A. Perez called the standing fence “Trump wall” and the idle parts “Kamala wall,” after his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.
Those labels were inaccurate. This section of 20-foot steel slats was actually built during former president Barack Obama’s administration. Trump added the unfinished extension up the hillside, an engineering challenge that cost at least $35 million a mile. The unused panels of 30-foot beams were procured during the Trump administration and never erected

Trump event at wall Obama built highlights an unkept promise
The Republican nominee heaped praise on a section of barrier that was actually built by his predecessor.

“Where you were, that was kind of a joke today,” said John Ladd, a Trump supporter whose ranch extends along the border, explained while driving the dirt road along the barrier, the gapped panels making a flipbook out of the shrubby trees and grass on the other side. “Had to be in front of Trump’s wall, but you went to Montezuma, and that’s Obama’s wall.”

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the barrier next to Thursday’s campaign stop was built during the Obama administration. The Trump campaign and Perez did not respond to questions about the discrepancy.

Oh yeah, and...

AP fact check: Trump takes credit for Obama’s gains for vets

Trump said he passed a private-sector health care program, Veterans Choice, after failed attempts by past presidents for the last “45 years.” That’s not true. The Choice program, which allows veterans to see doctors outside the government-run VA system at taxpayer expense, was first passed in 2014 under President Barack Obama.

Trump’s VA secretary, Robert Wilkie, also is distorting the facts. Faulting previous “bad leadership” at VA, Wilkie suggested it was his own efforts that improved waiting times at VA medical centers and brought new offerings of same-day mental health service. The problem: The study cited by Wilkie on wait times covers the period from 2014 to 2017, before Wilkie took the helm as VA secretary. Same-day mental health services at VA were started during the Obama administration under Wilkie’s predecessor, David Shulkin.

The half-truths and exaggerations came in a week when selective accounting was a norm in Trump’s rhetoric, extending into his trip to Japan , where he inflated the drop in the U.S. unemployment rate for women.

This guy slaps it all away in the WAPO video.

The Wall: "I don't think this infrastructure benefits anybody in this country. Let's get a robust Guest Worker program to accommodate them as workers, so they can contribute to our economy. Rather than demonizing them, I would say lets find a mechanism for them to come here and work."

The symbolism of the wall is antithetical to freedom.

Another example of how stupid Trump is.
-He spent 11 billion dollars on 450 miles of border wall. Much of it rebuilding wall that already was there.
  • There was 650 miles of wall before Trump came to office
  • Mexico did not pay for the wall

I NOTICE NO TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE REPLYING, YET. It is getting tougher to defend Trump's stupidity.

Trump's friends teamed up and scammed the MAGA crowd sending in cash to get a brick in the wall.

Good point. Trump pardoned his buddy Bannon from a 41/2 year prison sentence for the scam.
But the MAGA minions keep sucking in for Trump and his buddies scams.
and that crippled veteran? Did he get pardoned? Brian Kolfage.

Brian Kolfage, a decorated Air Force veteran who lost both of his legs and an arm in the Iraq War, previously pleaded guilty for his role in siphoning donations from the We Build the Wall campaign.
