Trump.....We will own the Gaza Strip

Do you support the US military taking control of Gaza?

  • No, Hamas does not need US soldiers for target practice

  • Yes, (fill in the rationale')

    Votes: 2 22.2%

  • Total voters

Of course not. Congress will be right in the thick of it naturally. Settle down and exhale.
I don't need to settle down, I'm always chillaxed. Your insinuation is inaccurate.

I'm just opining, as I often do.

Still, though, nobody has sufficiently answered my question. But whatever. It's alright. My expectation was never very high at all that it would be.

So...like...just...fuck congress then?

Oh, wait...I forgot who Mr. President, and by extention his supporters, observably believe should ''rightfully'' be running and dictating the business of the American Congress there for a second...

Proceed...
It’s apparent they are allowing power to concentrate in the executive branch, and the legislative and judicial aren’t stopping it.

It’s far easier for the billionaires and big corporations to control one person, rather than hundreds. Allowing them total control.

The only thing average Americans will get out of all of this middle eastern bullshit is a bill, a further erosion of the traditional governmental structure of our Repubic, and the same blowback they have historically got from it, like we saw back on 9/11.

And we all know who always gets the shaft in that regard, also historically (and predictably) speaking.

Unfortunately the people always seem to love them for it...

BOHICA....

Why don't you give Trump a chance first to flesh out the deal, get folks on board, see where the chips fall in making plans and let HIM tell you how it will work.
Looks to me like he has a long way to go yet before this is anymore than a gilded dream.
If this is going to work, he will need the cooperation of both Congress as well as many nations in the Middle East, no less Egypt, Jordan, Syria and most of all, Iran.
But what a beautiful thing if he makes it work, not just for the ME, but the USA as well in balancing our global power with that of China.

It will be a multi-national effort.
We will get it done and make it work.
Peace saves lives. Everyone benefits.
How many US lives will be lost trying to get Hamas out of Gaza?
Who would live in Trump's "Riviera" at Gaza?
Returning Palestinians and rich Jews?
I will tell my congressman to keep us the fuck out of Gaza

You mean let the hate and war continue, let the violence, destruction and threats against the USA go on rather than taking any chance your family might get dragged into it.
They have been at each other's throats for thousands of years. Keep us out of it. Not our problem.
Let the Arabs handle it.

Of course I can't say you are not right. But of course, if we do nothing and don't try, we will also get the same old same old-- endless war in the ME.
You are a fatalist, just like Buttercup. You expect the worst in everything. Pessimist.
Try a little faith. Trump has spent his entire life moving mountains. There would be no America today if the early Spanish and British explorers setting out to conquer the new world had your lack of vision and conviction.

Why not wait for Trump to answer these questions before you give up on everything.
I have the same questions. Don't you think Trump has a solid plan he has thought through and through if he is willing to take this on?

You are a fatalist...
No, I'm a realist. I think things through all the way.

Faith. Pft. Come on, man. You may as well just hope...

I mean shit. The President already openly told you who he believes should be ''rightfully'' dictating the business of the American Congress.

And it wasn't Americans, my man. Nope.

Exactly. But this is 2025, not 1691, 1943 or 1548 now.
The ME is no longer just a bunch of sand fleas humping their camels, the region is developing and has much wealth now.

Keep us out of it. Not our problem.
Let the Arabs handle it.
That is just it, the Arabs aren't handling it. They need some outside, unifying force with a vision, it won't be China, Russia, Canada or the EU, but it just might be Trump.
At least let Trump test the water and see if others are willing to go along and let the plane get off the ground before you begin to shoot it down.
In a few months, he will know whether this can work or not.

I don't have a link yet but Trump and Netanyahu just left their press conference and the deal is done:
  • The Palestinians to be relocated in other countries in new settlements that will make their lives safe and great.
  • The United States will take over ownership of the Gaza Strip and rebuild it as a new "Riviera" of the Middle East for people around the world to peacefully work in.
  • Hamas and other terror groups will be eliminated from the region.
  • This will be a multi-national effort involving many other Arab countries.
  • All threat to Israel will be gone and the region will finally have lasting peace.
  • All this and only 2 weeks into his administration! And I bet somewhere in there will be a Trump resort and Golf Course!
Details to follow.

That deal was struck during the time citizen Trump was illegally meeting with foreign nationals in Mara Lago

Or you are just a fatalist.

Listen, toobs. I'm pretty sure my record will sufficiently illustrate that I am a very, very firm proponent and champion of the traditional American ideal that one's right to their choices and actions make every difference in their prosperity and outcome in life. And i'm eager to thoroughly have that conversation with you or anyone...anyone... at any time you or anyone else would like to have it. The difference is that I understand and stand by my principles no matter what. And I think you'll find that the Framers are on my side.

And I absolutely promise you that you...or anyone else...who would foolishly make that charge in my direction, will lose that battle every single time.

This isn't the thread for it, however. You've made a personal charge not related to the thread itself, as is so typical here. So I welcome you to bring your specific charge up again in a more fitting section of the board. And I encourage you to do so in front of all of your friends.

And we shall see what Natty C is. I'll be in the neighborhood...

Just give Trump a chance to flesh out the deal.
