They were moderates posing as conservatives and they were part of the GOPe.

Moderates, according to the poll, aren't tuned-out or ill-informed, but they tend to see both sides of complex issues—for example, they want the government to do more to help the economy, but they worry that it may be ineffective or counterproductive. A plurality are Democrats, but they see themselves as slightly right-of-center ideologically, and one-third say they vote equally for Democrats and Republicans. And they are surprisingly young and diverse: Self-described moderates represent a 44 percent plurality of Hispanic and nonwhite voters and a 42 percent plurality of the Millennial generation.

Yo, not enough of those Voters to make a difference! Moderates, they are far and in between! The Independent Voters, which is me? They are mostly pissed off with the Republicans, because the Republicans didn`t do what they said they would do, do away with Obama-Care ETC.! So, I think the Republicans have screwed themselves, and still don`t get it! We voted them in for a reason? They failed, and I don`t feel sorry for the traitors!!!

I will hold my nose, and will vote Republican for the President, but the rest can kiss my ass!!! The only reason for voting Republican for President? Is the Supreme Court, and not giving Hillary Clinton a chance to put a Socialist on the Court!!!

Trump won because the elected GOP didn't roll back obama's shit so now he doesn't stand a chance? There are many more moderate/middle roaders than you think. WE discuss politics here but most people are not really into it.

What is the conservative debate about? McCain was a timid campaigner and it looked as though Bob Dole didn't have a freaking clue but neither one passed the test for conservative and it didn't seem to bother anyone in the GOP or the media. Sure Trump might lean liberal but compared to losers like McCain, Dole and Romney it doesn't matter. McCain was so afraid of the media that he even instructed his staff not to mention Obama's middle name because he thought it might be perceived as offensive. It was his freaking middle name.
