However, prosecutors said Villela, who has legal custody, told ICE that she wanted to retain custody of the girl and have her go with her to Honduras. They said the man claiming to be V.M.L.'s father had not presented himself to ICE despite requests to do so.

"It is therefore in V.M.L.’s best interest that she remain in the lawful custody of her mother," Trump administration officials said in a filing on Friday. "Further, V.M.L. is not at risk of irreparable harm because she is a U.S. citizen."

You have been accused of being a paid activist on this site. But I've never known a Democrat who would work this hard for money. You are driven by your deranged obsession.

Read the facts of the story, lots of information about this case casually ignored so left wing Reuters could write a Trigger Bait article bashing Trump. And JimH52 swallowed it hook line and sinker like a good little minion.

The 2-year old was deported with his mother. As Homan said, families can be deported together and why the fuck not?

She wanted to keep sustody of the child so they left together.

However, prosecutors said Villela, who has legal custody, told ICE that she wanted to retain custody of the girl and have her go with her to Honduras. They said the man claiming to be V.M.L.'s father had not presented himself to ICE despite requests to do so.

the mother was deported, and refused to give up custody of her daughter, deciding to take her with her.

I'm olive skinned with dark eyes and hair and I am concerned I will be mistaken for an immigrant. Especially since I am heavily tattooed.
