Another disturbing but great piece of reporting by ace journalist and squeezable cutie Natasha Bertand. So IOW, Trump is picking Putin's enemies off the streets of America and sending them home to certain death or imprisonment. Sickening and Sad :(

Much attention has been paid to Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, and the fear of a repeat in the upcoming midterms. Less examined, however, has been Russia’s abuse of Interpol and the American court system to persecute the Kremlin’s rivals in the United States—a problem that the Atlantic Council described in a recent report as another form of “interference” by Russia. Russia’s requests to Interpol to issue Red Notices—the closest instrument to an international arrest warrant in use today—against Kremlin opponents are being met with increasing deference by the Department of Homeland Security, according to immigration attorneys and experts in transnational crime and corruption with whom I spoke.

Interpol cannot compel any member country to arrest an individual who is the subject of a Red Notice, according to its guidelines, and “the United States does not consider a Red Notice alone to be a sufficient basis for the arrest of a subject because it does not meet the requirements for arrest under the 4th Amendment to the Constitution,” according to the Justice Department. But the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. immigration courts are effectively facilitating “backdoor extraditions,” as one immigration attorney said, in their reliance on Red Notices as a basis for detention and, ultimately, removal.

Research on your own Orangeling, and BTW, Trump's buddies in Turkey and China are abusing Interpol red notices as a political enemy extradition tool also. Why in God's name would Trump allow HIS ICE to extradite political dissidents of hostile foreign governments off to certain death or imprisonment?

Why wouldn't we deport someone lying about an asylum claim?

The United States has a proud 70 year history of taking in political dissidents from hostile foreign powers .. Until now.
If you were a real American and not a Trump/ Putin/ Erdogan tool, you would understand these things.

Dissidents. Not felons.

Of course had Trump refused to take them into custody, democrats would be screaming that he protects Russian criminals.

Take it up with the UN.

You just want them to stay because they are white. YOu are a racist.

If this is true them any American ho is involved with this should be arrested and spend the rest of their miserable lives in jail. We should have Nuremberg style trials. This is evil. The fact is that any Russian who can get here should be granted asylum just as any Cuban who reached the US was granted asylum.

That sounds good. Thousands of tall strong Russian men and beautiful Russian women, all white and all Christian.

You are the weak minded asshole. You have no intellectual curiosity. No Russian should be sent back to Russia because Russia wants them.

To suggest that those who read (and believe) Alex F-ing Jones are weak-minded a-holes?
Bit of an understatement.
