To me, the "conservative movement" is the GOP taking a big dump on the the middle class and the poor.

No, guy. Trump is the end result of what you've been doing to yourselves for 40 years.

For 40 years, the conservative movement has been playing on the racial, sexual and religious fears to get white men to vote against their own economic interests.

And for 40 years, the rich have gotten their tax cuts, but abortion is still legal.

Trump is the frustration of anger that has been stoked made manifest.

The problem is, he really only appeals to that very small slice of the electorate. That's why he's going to lose.

Yet they picked a guy that least represents those values:
(1) He talked about raising taxes in the rich
(2) Not sure his stance on abortion, but he is definitely not pro-life
(3) He is not a religious zealot by any stretch of the imagination
(4) He publicly supports men going into the women's bathroom
(5) He talked about cutting the defense budget
(6) Talks against free trade and pro-tariffs


All he got right is illegal immigration, but his tactic only worked in the primary and alienated a key demo for the generals.

Those aren’t ‘values.’

Conservative advocacy of denying women their right to privacy, denying blacks the right to vote, denying immigrants their due process rights, denying gay and transgender their right to equal protection of the law, and violating the religious liberty of Muslims is repugnant to everything this country stands for.

Conservatism is devoid of values.

And, no, not just that you guys will finally find a use for that stash of "Impeach Clinton" buttons you've had in your basement since 1999.

Let's look at the upside of Hillary being president for you guys.

It puts you in an awesome position for the midterms on 2018. With a lot of Red State Democrat Senate Seats up for grabs, that makes them easier to win if no one puts an adjective in front of the word "Rape".

If there is an economic downturn, and we are probably due as it's been 7 years since the last one, Hillary will get the blame for it.

You're blaming the wrong guy. Sure, Trump is a poor canidate, but he is the result of the horrible GOP leadership, the MCCain, Romney, Boehner, McConnells of the Republican Party. High spending and low taxes is the Ronald Reagan way. These people call themselves conservatives. I call them Reagan Conservatives.

If Republicans were true conservatives they would have orgasmed for decades over the Affordable Care Act. The Affordable Care Act is screwing the hell out of everybody but putting the federal government and state governments in a much stronger position financially. Republicans pretend like the Affordable Care Act is the devil even though it encourages personal responsibility and sound fiscal policy.

Reagan Conservatives hate the government. True Conservatives want to make sure that income exceeds spending. "Keep your government hands off of my Social Security." The modern conservative is not a conservative but an idiot. There are a lot of them. I wish they would go away but I think they will be around for one or two more generations.
