Trumps suggests “pretty Korean lady” talking about Pakistan be reassigned to N. Korea at intel brief

A career intelligence analyst who is an expert in hostage policy stood before President Donald Trump in the Oval Office last fall to brief him on the impending release of a family long held in Pakistan under uncertain circumstances.

He wanted to know where “your people” are from, according to the officials, who spoke off the record due to the nature of the internal discussions.

After the analyst revealed that her parents are Korean, Trump turned to an adviser in the room and seemed to suggest her ethnicity should determine her career path, asking why the “pretty Korean lady” isn’t negotiating with North Korea on his administration’s behalf, the officials said.

This intel officer is a second generation Korean American and it's not racist to inquire about her country of origin. Maybe she'll be reassigned to North Korea as she understands the culture and language of Korea and Pakistan may be handled better by Indian or Pakistani Americans.

That is what makes Trump a great president.

He is decisive and makes common sense changes when needed.

We are truly a blessed nation to have him as our leader. ....

"Hey @realDonaldTrump: Everyone in America or their ancestors (other than Native Americans) came from another country. I came from Taiwan. The pretty Korean lady you identified (or her ancestors) came from Korea. We are AMERICAN. If you don't understand that, you need to resign" - Sneaky Ted Lieu

How do you know she hasn't studied the Indian subcontinent, plus as a second generation Korean American she may not know enough about Korea.

He does understand most of us came from another country, that is why he asked her what hers was.

South Korea isn’t exactly a shithole either.
