Possibly the greater sadness, meriting tears, about the now-famous Benghazi diplomatic mission is that the U. S. Diplomatic Corps was actually succeeding in the Mideast, including Ambassador Stevens, at the direction of Secretary Clinton. No one now seems to want to congratulate the staff on a job well done!

U. S. and Libyan Security forces cooperated in defense of the embassy. For about 3 hours, 45 minutes, the Libyan and U. S. security forces were actively repelling a likely terrorist attack. The ambassador had managed to be taken to a local hospital. Months before, Department of State had asked the local embassy if extended forces in the area should be kept on. Not even Department of Defense seems to have been willing to offer, nuclear weapons;. Department of Defense was up on the attack.
The concept of an email server, versus the usually compromised U. S. Federal severs: Is a genuine non-issue which the Republican Conservatives had genuinely overlooked. The U. S. Embassy in Benghazi was apparently succeeding in creating an international presence.
The Republicans of the Benghazi Committee seem universally willing to oppose all such efforts.
