Universal Background checks...making law abiding citizens criminals for exercising their Rights....

the 1960s......now...you morons simply destroy the black family by destroying the education system, hooking single teen mothers on welfare, and breaking down the family.....blacks are murdering each other as they give you asswipes their unquestioning votes....

Really? You got a link to Democrats lynching blacks to prevent their voting more than 60 years ago?

LBJ voted against anti Lynching laws moron.....it wasn't Republicans lynching blacks..the Republicans were too busy protecting blacks from democrats....

If you point out any Democratic party member who is in favor of lynching blacks to prevent them voting, I promise I won't vote for them.

Deflection.....how will federal, universal background checks on private sales stop gun murderers, 90% of whom cannot buy, own or carry guns.....or mass public shooters who can pass any federal background check?...please answer...

Nobody claims they will stop all, Are you trying to say it won't stop any?

Yes....actual career criminals are not going to be stopped by any background check...the people caught in background checks are the 80 year old guy who went to buy his wife a gun.....he had a misdemeanor conviction from his 20s that he didn't even remember, he filled out the form with a no on wether he had a criminal record...now he faces jail time and fines for lying on his background check form...that is the type of criminal background checks catch.....the gang banger in Chicago, with multiple felonies for illegal gun possession...did not go through any background check for any of the illegal guns he is carrying...just before he shoots an enemy or misses and hits an innocent......

Again...explain how federal, universal background checks will stop criminals and mass shooters from getting a gun...we are still waiting...

Keep in mind...the Orlando night club shooter.....passed 3 separate background checks.....at least...one for his work as a security officer, another to buy his guns and a 10 month deep background check by the FBI when he was suspected of being a terrorist...and they let him off.........they also interviewed him 3 separate times...trained FBI interrogators.....and he passed all of them before he went on to murder 49 unarmed people in that night club...while two weeks later, another shooter started shooting up another night club...and one armed civilian stopped him by shooting him.....

So please...explain how these magical, Federal, universal background checks are going to work....

A gun is a tool, sure, but it's a tool that's needed by a very small number of people.
The fact that the USA is awash with guns has some very disturbing consequences.
It fuels the Mexican Drug Syndicates' power, hence thousands of deaths in Mexico, and a torrent of drugs entering the USA.
It ensures we have almost daily mass shootings of innocent people, as nutters can source awesome firepower around the 'hood.
It means people go in fear when they're out at night, and even when they're home in bed...

From Wikipedia:

Gun violence in the United States results in thousands of deaths and injuries annually.[1] According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2013, there were 73,505 nonfatal firearm injuries (23.23 per 100,000 U.S. citizens);[2] 11,208 homicides (3.5 per 100,000);[3] 21,175 suicides;[4] 505 deaths due to accidental/negligent discharge of a firearm; and 281 deaths due to firearms-use with "undetermined intent",[4] included in a total of 33,636 deaths due to "Injury by firearms",[4] or 10.6 deaths per 100,000 people.[4] Of the 2,596,993 total deaths in the US in 2013, 1.3% were related to firearms.[1][5] The ownership and control of guns are among the most widely debated issues in the country.

And all this is so insecure pussies with little wieners can feel like a 'real man', with a gun (or several guns) to plump up his courage.

Wow...it didn't even take more than one post for your psycho sexual gun disfunction to appear....and the numbers from your link are off........not even close to the actual CDC numbers......

In the 1990s there were 200 million guns in private hands and 1.2 million people carrying guns for self defense...in 2016 there are now 357 million guns in private hands and close to 15 million people carrying guns for self defense....

--and the gun murder rate went down 49%

--the accidental gun death rate went down....

And also....according to actual research by the bill clinton Department of Justice on the use of guns for self defense...twit......Americans use guns 1,500,000 times a year on average to actually stop violent criminals and to save lives...including many times stopping mass public shooters....

So you are wrong again...considering that the gun murder rate was also going down until 2015 when the democrats decided to make a war on cops......
