It’s good to see California get checked a little bit. Electric cars are not green no matter what liberals want to sell them as. 😊

Typical Democrats. Nixed by the Senate so they're going to file suit against Trump.

Democrats have turned into total fucking morons.

States rights out the window along with nearly everything else MAGA pretended to support.

That noted, it was never going to happen anyway.

That argument went out the window when the feds started setting design standards and milage standards.

Well no. MAGA used it to support over ruling RvW.

Actually the argument against Roe was the Constitution has nothing to say on abortion, and thus it devolves to the States.

Selling cars involves commerce, and that is something the Constitution says the feds can get involved in under certain conditions.

The Constitution says nothing about the Federal government controlling state transportation laws either.

The restrictions are based on sales. Sales of something that would be banned, but still allowed on the roads as States aren't allowed to say someone can't drive from another State in an ICE vehicle.

Nor did the law say that. But thats not going to stop you.

That they aren't banning ICE cars from driving on their roads shows the idiocy of the law. That and someone could just go out of State, buy and ICE vehicle and still register it in CA.

All they did was ban the sale of new ones, and that falls under commerce.

When it passed I said it was stupid political empty rhetoric.

Still a states rights issue stupid or not.

The commerce clause begs to differ. Cars travel between States, are manufactured in different States.

What you are trying unsuccessfully to argue is that one state can't ban marijuana because another manufactures it and people can take it across state lines,

Actually that question hasn't been answered yet because Pot is still on Schedule I and technically still illegal federally.
