#5 (at 5:10) was very interesting.

So basically he's saying that even if you have a stamped SBR, if you use it in a "violent crime" (like defending against a home invasion) you could be facing a fed charge that carries a mandatory 10 year minimum.

Why would a honest man care if he was just defending hearth and home?.....Tell that to the people that are prosecuted all the time for lawfully doing so but run afoul of leftist DAs trying to make a name for themselves.

Well no kidding.
Once registered, always registered.

What to do?
1: Remove the brace
2: Make sure you have a pistol buffer ($30-40,on line)
3: Keep on living the good life until this blows itself out.

I don't think it's quite that simple. Possessing the brace, and the gun constitutes a "precursor", and they'll still prosecute. Now unregistered SBRs carry the same sentence as an unregistered machine gun. This new regulation is a huge step towards disarming the public. But Hell... Why not. Americans have rolled over for every other infringement. What one more. Wear your chains lightly...

So... don't possess the brace.

And so, there's no reason to not modify the FCG.

That might be an overstatement

Lots and lots and lots of federal lawsuits our there right now.
