The one thing I've gradually noticed about our preference for presidents is that we want a president who displays dominance over the people. It is something that I kind of noticed over a lifetime and I guess that is fine if we were picking someone to dictate to us but I just kind of thought we were all "created equal". It is very subtle such as the almost holy reverence we have for the presidents personage. It kind of reminds me of how people treated kings. The scary part about this is the liberal party seems to demand this out of any canidate for president. The more Conservative party seems to go along with this. Doesn't anyone kind of see this as kind of humiliating to see yourself as someone less than the president. I think if I saw Obama just walking down the street I would laugh at his jar jar blinks like walk and that stupid smile of his.
