You're assuming that my criticism of the Republican party comes with a close affinity for Democrats.

Both parties support and maintain this type of political system, although it's more so Republicans than Democrats. Congressmen take bribes or indirect campaign contributions from corporate lobbies in order to promote corporate interests in government, hand out taxpayer money as financial bailout to corporations, and/or propose legislation that favours corporate interests over the general interests of the public. Many of these congressmen eventually retire from politics to take positions as lobbyists or boardroom members for the same corporations and industries they worked so hard for during their political careers. I can do the research to provide you with specific examples if you'd like, as I highly doubt you will pursue to educate yourself on how your government truly works, but your attempt to dismiss the fact that Republicans too hand out public money to those who don't deserve it is laughable.

oh one more thing, natural gas power plants may look pretty, but each one of those turbines inside that pretty building burns more natural gas in 1 hour then 5 americans could use in a lifetime.

McCain said a few years ago that he was against off shore drilling and he was for a windfall profit tax on the oil companies. Now he says the exact opposite.

Anyone who has ever seen McCain and Bush speak knows McCain is no Bush. I wish we'd had him for the last 4 years instead of Bush. I don't see any reluctance in McCain to confront difficult questions and issues head-on. The one major problem with Bush was that while I believe he was committed to his own vision of the US and his part in it, he was far to reluctant to address his critics and speak directly to the issues, without sugar coating it.

But they both have Obama beat hands down. Obama wouldn't know a straight answer if it sat on his face and wiggled, and is the master of mouthing platitudes which mean absolutely nothing and NEVER answer the question being asked. Why doesn't he want to answer the question? Because ultimately, he wants to change the US into something else, he doesn't like the US, and HE DOESN'T WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW because he knows they will not support it.
