Watch man destroy 85 Oz steak

He wins every food challenge I see

I would have done a few things different.
  1. He ate the easiest to digest stuff last. I would have eaten the salad and potato first.
  2. He made the steak well-done. That dries it out making it harder and slower to chew and harder to digest. I think medium or medium-rare would have been better. I think that is probably why he wanted the gravy.
  3. He kept pouring A1 on his steak; A1 is better used poured on the side then each piece dipped into it before chewing.

Why do I have a feeling you have tried something similar?

There was steak house in Fayetteville, NC (I forget it's name) back in the 80s that the management of the DuPont plant we were visiting took us to for supper that had a 5# steak "challenge".

They asked me to try it (they were paying) and since I was a man of large appetite when it came to meat back then, plus I was hungry as I had not eaten lunch, I said sure.

It was a T-Bone and I ordered it as well done as they could. I made short work of it. Just some beer to wash it down.

Then we went over to the strip joint across the road.....It was a damn good evening. :)

Have you ever watched the hot dog eating contest on July 4th from Coney Island?

Well, when I was young, I once counted eating 64 pieces of pizza at a setting (it was a big neighborhood pizza party at a restaurant and they were pretty thin-crusted square pieces). I'm a pretty big guy, so, would probably fare well in this steak contest.

I used to wolf down mass quantities of hot peppers too, but I've kinda backed down in recent years.

He admitted the well done was big mistake
