The WHO uses μg/L, and 1 μg/L is equal to 0.001 mg/LLMAO, it is quite possible you've done exactly that if you are over 30. Until 2001, the standard was 50 ppb. which is about 0.05%. The standard was replaced in 2001 to 0.01% or about 10 ppb.
On January 22, 2001, EPA adopted a new standard for arsenic in drinking water of 0.01 mg/l or 10 parts per billion (ppb), replacing the old standard of 50 ppb. Water systems had to meet the new standard by January 23, 2006.
