Great story. You win the debate. Thanks for the share and for your serviceDoes it? Would you rather have someone physically strong but weak of character watching your back or the opposite?
Is a Female communications specialist any less capable of doing her job than a male one?
When I was in boot camp we had guy that had spent 3 years in the NFL in our platoon. Big hulk of a man. So of course the DIs made him the Platoon Guide right out the gate. Before we were 1/3 of way done his lack of internal strength showed its ugly head and the DIs picked the smallest, weakest Marine in the platoon to replace him hoping to motivate him.
That little skinny weak guy never gave up the position and ended up the Company Honor man and got promoted upon graduating Boot camp to E3. I ran in to him 12 years later and he was a 1stSgt.
There is so very much more to strength than being able to pick up more weight.

All women are not weaker than all menYou surly aren’t stupid enough to suggest that all women are weaker than all men are you?
But you dont want to lower standards to the weakest female soldier
Set the standards however you want, anybody regardless of their sex should have the opportunity to serve if they can meet requirements. But you are blankety saying that women shouldn’t serve because they are weak. That’s textbook sexism and it is contradictory to your point that it should be based on strengthAll women are not weaker than all men
But you dont want to lower standards to the weakest female soldier
Let’s see how that strength of Character prevails when 6’2” 230lb male grabs 5’2” 130lb femaleEvery group has people with weak character, it cannot be avoided.
The are not needed in combat rolesBut you are blankety saying that women shouldn’t serve because they are weak.
The push for that came from the Democrats and those who were looking for more expendable people under the guise of feminism. They were hiding behind it.The are not needed in combat roles
the push for that comes from radical feminists who dream of female chairmen of the joint chiefs of staff and other combat command positions
I dont think soThe push for that came from the Democrats and those who were looking for more expendable people under the guise of feminism. They were hiding behind it.
Pregnancy is a show of strength? Who knew?
I am in no way knocking women, I have a wife and 5 daughters.Multiple labors and deliveries while we raise other children and often work? Absolutely. This is not to reduce the contribution of men. Men are strong where they need to be strong, which is in many areas. But we are too.
That’s not your call to make whether they are needed or not. We live in a free country where women and anybody else should have the freedom to pursue whatever they want. If a strong woman who could whoop your ass wants to serve in our military in a combat role and she passes the requirements then she should have every right to do so. You can’t make a solid argument without tripping all over yourself. Sexism is indefensible, you're in a pickleThe are not needed in combat roles
the push for that comes from radical feminists who dream of female chairmen of the joint chiefs of staff and other combat command positions
I hope I’m still entitled to my opinionThat’s not your call to make whether they are needed or not.
Of course youre entitled to your opinion. Just as I’m entitled to call your opinion sexist and wrong. I don't see radical feminists calling the shots either nor do I see why their opinions should have any impact on yours.I hope I’m still entitled to my opinion
but it should not be left up to the radical feminists either

But, pregnancy in no way, demonstrates strength. Pain tolerance? Possibly. Mental toughness? Definitely. Most women today choose to get an epidural to bypass the pain.
But it has nothing to do with strength.
