‘We’re From the Govt. and We’re Here to Help’ — the FCC Swoops In On the Internet - Big Journalism
I suggest you read the whole thing, instead of me trying to quote the salient parts of this. It's really necessary to read it ALL.
Notice this is happening AFTER the USSC declared the FCC did NOT have authority over the internet.
The government's response? We'll just declare the internet part of the "communication's service" and then we have authority!
That's like the USSC declaring you can't stop free speech and the government's response is to redefine free speech as "unregulated communication," or some nonsense like that. Then there are calls to "regulate" this "dangerous, unregulated" speech that threatens you and me, with your lap dog liberal media providing the propaganda needed to justify such a move.
Do you like how this works? Illegal aliens are "undocumented workers." Now the broadband is a "communication service."
All the government has to do, to get their mitts on more power is simply "redefine" what's in the way and ViOLA! It becomes something they can regulate.
I can't wait for the Obama operatives, er I mean the liberals on this board to tell us, this is really Bush's doing.
