Were the days after October 7, 2023 rock bottom for the left?

I've been thinking about this recently, and I just heard a podcast with Bill Ackman, and he put it into words I hadn't considered.

Every alcoholic, drug user, or other type of addict, usually has what they call a "rock bottom", where the behaviors associated with the addiction cause the addict to do something so disgraceful, humiliating, and/or dangerous, that they finally see the error of their ways, and can no longer deny the damage done.

I think the days after Hamas' terror attacks on Israel was that rock bottom for the left, many of whom have become addicted to hate/bigotry/anti-Semitism, particularly through radicalization in the media and academia. So-called Americans were openly waving Hamas flags, cheering the brutal torture and murder of Israeli men, women, and children, burning American flags, attacking American Jews on college campuses and elsewhere, and cheering the taking of hostages.

The road back from rock bottom to recovery is usually a painful one that requires a lot of humility and self-examination. Based on what I'm seeing from the left as far as reactions to the election, I don't think that recovery is going well so far, do you?

You do not realize that many anti-Trumpers are independents and Republicans. I am one of those.
I have never felt worse about the results of the election.
I hope Trump does not destroy the balance of power in our government, basically overturning the government set up by the founding fathers.
He tried to destroy any confidence in our elections. Hopefully all those idiots who thought 2020 was rigged realize it was not.

This thread is about you people cheering the massacre in Israel, not your boyfriend Trump.

Stay on topic or fuck off.

But you would welcome the Dems doing it with thunderous applause.

Rock bottom was the Trump-Biden debate, when people saw how bad they were lying for 2-3 years about Biden's mental health.

Nothing. They'll just realize oh that's what Sealybobo was trying to tell us. If they think Biden is too much on Israel's side, wait till they see Trump's position on the arabs in Gaza

I doubt anyone cares what Sillybooboo is trying to tell anyone

I know I don't

You are spreading hate that is not based on truth. No decent human is cheering on the massacre of people in Isreal or anywhere.
A majority of Jews voted for Harris in 2024. They know better than you.

MAGA spreading hate could ruin our country.

This is true, BUT, Trump will get it solved. He will tell Hamas, make an offer, because if you don't get a deal done, then you will no longer exist

What mistake was it?

Thinking Trump would be better to Palestinians than Kamala?

Unless, like Trump Mexicans, Women, Gays, Arab Americans, are you saying common sense Palestinians will agree with Trump? Because they sure didn't like Biden siding with Israel or not standing up to them more. You think Trump will?

The democrats accepted the results of the election. Harris conceded. Biden had Trump to the white house to start the transition.
Compare that to 2020.

2020 the results were far closer, the procedures were changed on the fly due to the pandemic, and there were valid complaints about election integrity.
