Whacko attacks police dept; Shoots 1 officer, 2 security guards, and father

This nutjob staked out a vacant building, ambushed 2 security guards (that he thought were cops), then went home, shot his father, left the house saying "The war has just begun", and went to the Greenville, SC police dept wearing camo, a military vest and carrying a shotgun. Opened fire on the police department, shot 1 officer, then cowardly shot himself as more officers arrived.

This is the 2nd such ambush suicide at this police dept in 3 years, and the lax security is now under fire....literally. But, bunkering the place would be "militarized".


Too bad there wasn't any "community policing" going on. Im sure a hug from a cop would've made this guy be nice.

Many people here were wondering what your response would be to the news of the police officer reading his email and killing a cyclist and then getting off scott-free.

Well, my response is this: It was a traffic accident. They happen a lot, and they are outrageous. Here in Charleston, a texting driver smashed into 2 motorcyclists, killed them, and only got a ticket. Why? Its the only LAW violation they could charge him with.

You people want cops to be "treated just like everyone else", but then want them to be punished MORE harshly "than everyone else".

If you accidentally run a red light, and kill someone, the ONLY law you can be charged with is the red light.
