What did Trump mean when he said this?

What do you think Trump meant when he said "no" to JD Vance being his successor in 2028

There is nothing newsworthy about this comment. The Republican party will have a cornucopia of political talent in 2028, and must nominate the one most likely to win the general election. NOBODY KNOWS who that will be right now.

I'm simply stating what I believe will happen. You see that as some sort of conspiracy. You don't even seem to disagree with me.

Then your short circuit kicks in.
I disagree that it’s an issue.

Maybe Trump will endorse his son.

A tale of two dads/outgoing presidents, huh? One will help his son become president by endorsing him while the other helped his son avoid the federal penitentiary by pardoning him.

The next 4 years may provide that seasoning.... we will have to wait and see.

That said, I wouldn't mind if DeSantis takes the helm in 2029.
Vance DeSantis sounds good. Although for 2028, I'm still partial to Vance Noem.

Was my post condemning? I simply stated an opinion on an article that was posted. For some reason that set you off.

I could be wrong but I believe he meant; "4 years is a long time, let's wait and see what happens".

"A good decision is based on knowledge and not on numbers." -- Plato

Maybe Ron DeSantis?
Ron wouldn't win a G.E.

I suspect at this point Marco Rubio would be the ideal choice for Trump as Rubio wants to counter China and is a true Reagan conservative with a healthy mix of Trumpism. The fact that he made him SOS and trusts him enough to deal with the USAID budget suggests that they have decent conversations. In short, Trump listens to him as he views him as an informed and sharp guy.

Any wise man prefers to listen to someone who they deem competent and informed, Trump is no different.

The question asked of Trump was "Do you see Vance as your successor in 2028". Trump's answer was a clear "NO"

What a stupid f-ing question, TRUMP's not even been in office a month and CabbagePatch is asking if he's gonna endorse Vance for 2028.
TRUMP knows many people he's put in his administration are planning a run in 28.

He meant "it's too early". WTF, did you listen to your own post?

I think he meant that they have been in office for 3 weeks, and are just getting started....Ask again after the mid terms....

They tried lil Marco Rubio years ago when he wasn't ready. He may be ready now.

You may not remember it but he was being interviewed and he was clearly nervous. Constantly going off camera to take a drink of water. It was, WEIRD and knocked him out of the Republican primary. This is why Trump is teflon. Nothing he does hurts him. But all Marco Rubio had to do was get dry mouth and it cost him the nomination.

IMPEACH!

He was asked a point blank question and he gave a point blank answer.

Bottom line is that he chose Vance to be his VP, meaning that if anything happens to him while in office, Vance would become president. This SHOULD mean that he believes Vance is the most capable Republican out there for the 2028 presidency, unless he plans a 3rd term (which is unconstitutional) or he picked Vance for another reason other than his capabilities.

You do know that if anything happens to Trump while in office, Vance would become president, don't you?

As such, why would he pick him if "Trump knows many people he's put in his administration are planning to run in 28"? Wouldn't he choose the one that he believes would be the best?

No, my nation is my life and I believe Trump will destroy it. You don't fight for the welfare of your own country?
Obviously, the majority of the American Electorate disagrees with your assessment.

Welcome to Democracy.
