When did Merrick Garland say "NO" to President Biden?

Of course they are related. Trump was aware that charges were to be filed soon, so he quickly announced his run for the presidency, much sooner than anyone else has ever announced as a last-ditch effort in response.
So, it was all on Trump's side? Your claim is that Garland did not take into account that Trump had announced for president when he decided to appoint Jack Smith?

Exactly. It was well known that charges were to be filed soon, and obviously someone was to be chosen for the job. Jack Smith was a carefully considered choice. It takes more than three days to determine if charges should be filed, and then longer to determine who should be in charge of it. This was not a sudden choice in response to trump's announcement. It was in the works whether trump announced or not.

Fairly certain that Trump wanted to run for president again despite the lawfare not because of the lawfare. He thought he was ripped off in 2020 and wanted to save America from the incompetent and dishonest Biden Administration. He knew Biden was a liar and his family are criminals as we all did that are in the MAGA movement.

Trump did not win a majority of the vote. He won a plurality.
Actually Trump did win a majority. You are in the minority. You are the cult. The false idol you worship was on full display at the Democrat convention.

Once again, you are demonstrably wrong.

"Based on recent developments, including the former president's announcement that he is a candidate for president in the next election, and the sitting president's stated intention to be a candidate as well, I have concluded that it is in the public interest to appoint a special counsel," Garland said at a news conference.

There you go. Garland thought it was in the public interest that his bosses political rival be prosecuted since he had declared for election against Garland's boss.

That's not how America is supposed to work. I think you might be happier in Venezuala.

Bulldog is butt hurt at the fact that Democrats failed in their lawfare against Donald Trump. It's called flailing

Odd that he didn't mention it until AFTER he was aware of the coming charges,

That’s dumb. There was already several investigations into Trump based on evidence of crimes. Appointing a special counsel to head those investigations when he declared his candidacy was both very normal and very expected.

Appointing a special counsel doesn’t mean they’re going to file charges. That’s up to the special counsel.

Maybe so.

You seem to have missed the point that Bulldog was so wrong in his or her assertion that Trump declaring and Garland immediately appointing a Special Prosecutor were unrelated events.

Now, the Bulldog is barking on other threads, not this one, so my work is done.

Sure. They were wrong.

But the entire premise of your thread is bullshit.

Unlike Trump, Biden did not attempt to coerce the DoJ into doing things for political purposes. The question for Bondi was quite appropriate given Trump’s history of corruption and malfeasance.
