Regardless of political affiliation etc. ... where do you see the US in 10 years?

Better? If so, in what way/ways?
Worse? If so, how?

I see more and more chaos and less and less structure. More division. I feel this nation is at a breaking/boiling point or approaching one....

Worse.

No one has the vision, discipline, or cajones to do what needs to be done to get our fiscal house in order.

I see the US being a LOT worse in 10 years. By then our currency will have collapsed causing problems worldwide. The IMF already has began preparing for this and the Chinese yuan is set to become a reserve currency in September of this year. We will continue to see this divide and conquer strategy used against us and the riots we have seen will continue to increase. I try not to be too pessimistic, but regardless of how much people will argue, I have to say that martial law may be enacted nationwide indefinitely. The militarization of police and push to federalize local police departments already shows us the preparation for this. And we have seen military completely take over and shut down cities multiple times in recent years. All empires fall, all fiat currencies implode, and socialism is always unsustainable. While it is still somewhat possible to reverse the trend, keep in mind what Patreas said when asked what comes after America. Global government is basically upon us now, they are just finishing up the process at this point.

I see us as totally bankrupt and like Greece if we don't start to cut back on our Government programs now.

Better on some things... worse on others.

Assuming there are no nuclear wars...

The tech will continue to improve. Power will continue to be cheap. Automated driving will get here. More people will be working from home. Politically we'll still be voting for the two headed hydra that uses class warfare to keep itself in power. Health care will continue to get more expensive. Africa will become the new Asia. Asia the new europe. The ME folk will continue to kill each other. Resources will continue to be scarce. Our debt will double but the value of the dollar will only be worth 1/2 what it is so that won't matter. The first combat engagement with semi automated robot combatants will have happened. American STEM jobs will continue to see downward pressure on income from foreign competition. Government employees will continue to be sheltered. Some country will begin building a moon base and the race for control of the moon's resources will begin.

I think in 10 years America will be in the summer of 2025. Just a guess.

Oh...and liberals will be celebrating the downfall of traditional America. ...while crying over the mass social chaos it caused.

They will blame Bush and Regan for the social chaos that it causes. :)

I really hate to be this way but Obama (or Hillary) could go out and kill someone and it would be blamed on the Republicans! Or, there would be a rationale for it!

Or they could personally cure cancer and be accused of trying to destroy the medical community. There is always a rationale no matter what side.

I see the following:

(1) Extreme poverty
(2) The U.S. Government close to bankruptcy
(3) An unaffordable cost of living
(4) Civil unrest
(5) The wealthy and corporations moving their money to foreign countries
(6) The National Guard and military personnel patrolling our streets
(7) Drastic devaluation of our currency
(8) Completely open borders
(9) 90 percent of resources spent on National Defense
(10) Hundreds of thousands of tent cities all across this country
(11) A fresh water shortage
(12) China becomes the new super power
(13) Terrorism becomes common place in almost every country
(14) Africa loses almost half of its population due to famine, droughts, disease and wars
(15) Russia is listed as the most corrupt nation on Earth, South American countries are a close second
(16) Europe becomes the industrial capitol of the world
(17) Many U.S. colleges go bankrupt
(18) Most government assistance programs become extinct
(19) The Social Security Fund goes into default
(20) The lack of proper health care cause many deaths
(21) All U.S. banks will be taken over by the government
(22) Many cities and towns burn due to riots
(23) The majority of crimes will be contributed to hunger, poverty, depression, desperation, lost hope, survival, and suffering
(24) Elections will be more akin to appointments than by popular vote
(25) Infrastructure will be unusable in most areas

Sad but probably 100% accurate. But I would add in global government and global currencie(s). A few options are on the planning table at the top already. It will be either a one world currency or 3 world currencies. Just like the Euro, the Amero is literally already designed and displayed by the UN and IMF.

U.S. is on the wrong track and unsure about the future. I've got a pessimistic mood. Nation will be more divided by class and race, I guess. All in all, the future will be a lot like the present, only moreso.

While I agree the U.S is fucked if politicians dont get their shit together,I think you're exaggerating the damage a bit.
We might reach the level of hopelessness you describe in thirty years though.
