Poland has manufacturing
Germany is the financial backing
France has the African mining and raw material resources (also wine)
Dutch has the ports.
Spain has the labor
Italy brings pasta and pizza.
Netherlands has microchips

Each dominates in their own little sector. Each brings something to the table...except for Greece and some of the others who don't bring much either. Estonia currently brings software.
