GW Bush inherited a balanced budget and blew up the economy in a world record crash, the worst blow up in 100 years
Trump had world record debt and deficit (25% of our total debt in his 4 years), but also had a weak low growth economy.

Its time to ask the question, why are the dems so much better than the GOP on the economy?

I think the dems are so much better than the GOP because they truly focus on the middle class, they try to create jobs and enact policy to benefit the middle class, which then "trickles up" to the ultra wealthy and they also benefit.
The republicans truly focus on the ultra wealthy and gear all their policies to helping the ultra wealthy, hoping it will somehow trickle down to the middle class, but it never does.

Didn't we hear all the time that presidents had little to no effect on the economy when it sucked big time, inflation was rampant and wages weren't keeping up? I seem to recall posters screeching things about not blaming Biden, it's happening all over the world so it's not his fault, anything and everything to avoid holding him responsible.
