Obamacare destruction of 1/6th of the economy was legislation that was so big and massive contained 906 pages.

As of 3/22/2013
The Web site for the Federal Register and searched for “Affordable Care Act,” the official name for the health-care law.
On the Web site, there’s a button that will download the documents to an Excel spreadsheet (CVS/excel).
Then you use the sum feature on Excel to add up the pages and presto, you end with 20,202 pages.
These were then printed out and duly stacked in a pile.

20,202 pages of regulations just for a part of the entire 906 page bill.

WHY?
This is the problem with our government is they think they have to COVER EVERYTHING FOR ALL TIME!

Why not for example with the immigration do one thing RIGHT ... FIRST?
REDUCE the flow of illegals coming across the borders!

All Congress needs to do is make sure borders are secure...
THEN go after those that are breaking the law by illegal entry!

The same thing should have happened with Obamacare.

First: admit there were less then 5 million truly uninsured that needed and WANTED insurance.
Second:ADMIT the biggest costs is the $850 billion a year in duplicate, wasteful "defensive medicine" readily acknowledged by
physicians as costing 30% unnecessarily all because they are afraid of being sued!
Third: TAX lawyers 10% of their $200 billion a year which would pay a $5,000 premium for EACH of the truly 4 million uninsured!
Fourth:Require hospitals to register any "uninsured" and then send claims to be paid to the insurance company.
Fifth : Audit hospitals so they won't be OVERCHARGING Medicare sometimes 6,000% to cover their "unreimbursed" expenses.

Each of these SMALL STEPS would do BIG things !
A) Cover all those that want health insurance.
B) Tie the tax to the reduction of the $850 billion defensive medicine waste!
C) Watch Medicare's costs decline.

ALL of this estimated at $100 to $200 BILLION a year in costs reductions!!!

Fat chance: At 24 pounds, immigration bill is too big for many to swallow
At 1,075 pages long, it’s not the biggest bill to come through in recent years — that honor still belongs to the health care law — but the immigration legislation pending in the Senate is challenging the ability of voters to get their brains around its complexity.
Touching on everything from border security to welfare programs to free trade, the massive bill is dominating legislative action this month on Capitol Hill, where Democrats are intent on pushing it through before July 4 and Republicans are trying to debate whether to go along.
SPECIAL COVERAGE: Immigration Reform
One group has weighed the printed bill and said it comes to 24 pounds. That doesn’t include the 448 pages of amendments that have been filed to try to change the measure.
