Yes. I am a life time member since I was 18. Got it for my birthday. I was disgruntled way before this though. Mostly because they never lobbied for or pushed any legislation protecting 2nd amendment rights. I was and am a Neil Knox guy.


Oh yeah, so ya know, a life time membership cost way more then $20.00. Its these memberships that they are lacking, not the little one year memberships. NRA has been and is in decline both morally and in political power.

While I don't always support the NRA's tactics, I understand that they've moved further in the opposite direction as the anti-gun Left moved further in their desire to ban guns and institute, as Hillary once expressed, a Australian-style gun control program. It's not ideal, but the NRA's positions does give balance to the hard push by the Left to ban guns.

He wasn't shot because he was carrying he was shot because he said he had a gun as he was reaching behind his back to get his wallet

Here's how anyone with a brain tells a cop they have a gun. They sit motionless with their hands clearly visible and inform the cop they have a legal gun and don't move until the cop gives them instructions. By telling the cop while reaching around his car he put the cop and himself in just a horrible position.

It was a horrible accident and so tragically unfortunate. But it was his fault, not the cop. The cop shouldn't have been charged. What the guy did was just butt stupid. Seriously, imagine telling a cop you have a gun while reaching around your car with your hands and tell me how you expect to come out of that conversation alive
