This country did not have significant police for the first 120 years, so it is conservatives who should be against having police, violent mercenaries attempting to gain revenue for the bureaucracy.

No country has ever tried communism.
Communism is a local phenomenon and it is not clear if or how it even could be tried on the national level, with a big country?

The problem is Bill Maher is really not that well informed.

He is a 'leftist' because he espouses leftist ideals. Mahar is not a conservative, period. It is dumb to wonder why he is not moving to the right when he shares nothing with them.

The reality is that he is simply not a moron as much of those controlling the narratives of the political sides are these days. That he does not buy into the insane politics of the far left does not make him a republican or on the right. It just means he is not a moron.

I've watched Maher for 20 years, he's consistent, and he sure as hell aint no Joe Rogan (but the two are very good friends)
