Zone1 Why would a 20-year-old kid just give up his life?

Good one! Everything is indicating that he was the patsy selected for the plot to fire 8 shots in Trump's general direction and miss by 3 or 4 feet each time. And now we see that Trump's ear wasn't really hit with a bullet.

This plot by Trump's team is not unlike other plots in history to bring a eager dictator to power.

There is no way that Thomas Crooks didn't know how much danger he was placing himself in by doing what he did. There is no way he didn't know that he would not be going home that day, at least not breathing.

What the hell could make a kid Just begining his life so sour on living it that he wouldn't care about just throwing it away?

As more information comes out it is apparent that it wasn't hatred of Trump that made Crooks take aim at him, since he apparently was looking for any high value target up to an including Joe Biden from what the investigations have revealed.

Being a student of tactical mechanics it seems he zeroed in on the most vulnerable spot in the security which just happened to be Trump's detail.

Also being a student of tactical mechanics he must have known that the moment he pulled the trigger his lifespan would only be a matter of minutes if not seconds.

I guess the real question is did somebody promise him protection? If not how do we explain the willingness of a 20-year-old to give up what could have been a promising life ahead?

Frankly this bothers the hell out of me. Even more so than the shooting itself this one thing is something I find haunting.

If you can work out how people think, please write a book because I would be in the front of the queue to buy one.

Did the unhinged Crookes need a trigger phrase, put Trump in the Bullseye? Was that the straw that broke Croookes' camels' back?

Sure I'm making a lot of assumptions. I am devastated by the thought of a wasted life at 20 years old I just can't seem to get over it. Why throw your life away? It just doesn't add up unless we're talking serious mental illness and that doesn't seem to be in his history.

I do like psychology, so it's interesting and bizarre at the same time. I was wondering if it manifests from TDS.

I simply believe like a lot of young people today he is weak, soft, raised by social media, had no purpose or goals in life so he was agry and confused and aimless. Those people perpetuate themselves as victims, outcasts, sad and lonely.

Those people are easily manipulated. That's what all social predators do like sexual predators, it's what cults do to recruit. They seek out weak willed prey.

This kid never had any strength, any purpose and felt like a victim of the world and that everything revolved around him. I believe someone got to him and manipulated him. They made him feel like they understood him, made him feel like he had a purpose, that he could make a real difference and do something important. They massaged his ego and told him everything they knew he wanted to hear. Young, inexperienced, weak, immature, lonely, confused and aimless people, especially boys, are easy to get your books into.

Even at 16 I couldn't be manipulated by anyone. I was raised by my grandmother and uncle to be confident, tough, smart, independent, and they raised me to be a man. I had a car when I was 13, a job working for neighbors, I helped them do things, they stayed engaged with me, gave me rules but also gave me freedom. This kid is the opposite of me.

In one way or another I think someone or someone's saw him and used him. I do not believe he just up and did this on his own, he wouldn't have been able to by himself.

Who got to him and why? That I don't know.

I believe he became radicalized online. Someone put these thoughts in his head much like many of those pro Palestinian protesters were influenced by evil people.

Who was his FBI Handler?

It is a story we have seen for decades

Young white male, social misfit who has an infatuation with guns wants to go out in a blaze of glory
The gun is just the instrument.
There is something deeper going on with young disillusioned males involving many factors.

Oh wow I hadn't even considered that angle. Shame on me it's one of the most obvious isn't it? Do you think he converted to Islam or something?
