Why don't other countries relent? Especially the ones that have unfair, sky high, tariffs on American products. Why do you Marxist idiots always want to punish America?
After people remember that the Fed will cut 2 or 3 times this year, and the Budget is much better with a smaller deficit, the markets will rally as per normal behavior.
We got Fogel and Trump gets Ukraine. The Art Of The Deal.He doesn't flip-flop
He negotiates.
I agree, Trump will not turnaround on tariffs. He can't. The cards have been dealt and we are going to have to wait and see how it plays out.Yeah, this is pretty freakin' fascinating to watch. He's always been about ratings and the stock market numbers and the GDP numbers, and everything he is doing is flying right in the face of all that -- at least for now.
So someone has him convinced that doing all of this as quickly as possible will produce a quick enough recovery that it will all be worth it. And he's too far down this road to do a U-turn now.
But who knows. The markets are scared and all over the place, and a lot of investors are waiting until after Wednesday to act. He could blink and do an about face, and no one one would be shocked, since he's done so many.

Well if China hadn’t used the back door to get their products into the US with tacit approval by other countries as they have done nothing to protect their own manufacturing and industries then it would not have been necessary …For example China produces somewhere around 50 plus of all steel produced worldwide and in order for them to move it all they export a huge amount to countries such as Canada and the European Union where it is relabelled as that countries product even though it has very minor content from these nations…..It is then repackaged and sent to the United States where it is consumed…Let’s say for example your city uses steel poles for their intersections those poles might be completely manufactured in China and shipped over in a container to a country close to the United States where they are relabelled as being manufactured in that country even though they are not….The United a states is just trying to even the playing field otherwise good jobs paying 30 plus dollars an hour will go away and Chinese workers earning 1.75 or less an hour will replace them not helping anyone in the states or even Canada or the EU….Something must be done if tariffs are not the answer then what is…I agree, Trump will not turnaround on tariffs. One thing is for sure, there is no easy fix for what Trump started. Had he just stuck with punishing China for their bad deeds, then some kind of deal could be made. But now there are 15 countries in Trump's trade war and over half of them have either already put retaliatory tariffs on the US or they are considering it.
Yeah, this time there are things that he has actually broken. Destroyed.I agree, Trump will not turnaround on tariffs. He can't. The cards have been dealt and we are going to have to wait and see how it plays out.

I noticed they do that with fly by night wharehouses in Cali to sell mostly junk (rarely functioning or unwanted discontinued in China) products on Amazon. By selling all their faulty and mistake/odd lot/damaged goods cheap they flood our markets with cheap goods and leave us with broken down equipment and unwearable or useable products.Well if China hadn’t used the back door to get their products into the US with tacit approval by other countries as they have done nothing to protect their own manufacturing and industries then it would not have been necessary …For example China produces somewhere around 50 plus of all steel produced worldwide and in order for them to move it all they export a huge amount to countries such as Canada and the European Union where it is relabelled as that countries product even though it has very minor content from these nations…..It is then repackaged and sent to the United States where it is consumed…Let’s say for example your city uses steel poles for their intersections those poles might be completely manufactured in China and shipped over in a container to a country close to the United States where they are relabelled as being manufactured in that country even though they are not….The United a states is just trying to even the playing field otherwise good jobs paying 30 plus dollars an hour will go away and Chinese workers earning 1.75 or less an hour will replace them not helping anyone in the states or even Canada or the EU….Something must be done if tariffs are not the answer then what is…
You are not kidding I have seen brand new containers where the locking mechanism does not mesh and men have to use hammers to close and unlock them….It is ironic because that is just the tip of the iceberg… I wonder if some of the Chinese steel has found its way into our bridges and high rises and what will happen if they do not meet engineering codes in the future…I noticed they do that with fly by night wharehouses in Cali to sell mostly junk (rarely functioning or unwanted discontinued in China) products on Amazon. He will relent when the pariah status becomes too much to bear. Remember, the orange bag O' shit is a weak, incompetent *pResident. Popularity is everything.Goldman Sachs sees Trump tariffs spiking inflation, stunting growth and raising recession risks
With decision day looming this week for President Donald Trump’s latest round of tariffs, Goldman Sachs expects aggressive duties from the White House to raise inflation and unemployment and drag economic growth to a near-standstill.
The investment bank now expects that tariff rates will jump 15 percentage points, its previous “risk-case” scenario that now appears more likely when Trump announces reciprocal tariffs on Wednesday. However, Goldman did note that product and country exclusions eventually will pull that increase down to 9 percentage points.
When the new trade moves are enacted, the Goldman economic team led by head of global investment research Jan Hatzius sees a broad, negative impact on the economy.
In a note published on Sunday, the firm said “we continue to believe the risk from April 2 tariffs is greater than many market participants have previously assumed.”

Which will prevail? trump's flat earth views on the efficacy of tariffs or their real world affects? The country, indeed the world, is an economic hostage to an imbecile's love affair with the kind of destructive trade policy that once lead to a depression. Our trading partners are reeling, so too is the stock market, in the face of trump's stubborn belief his ability to alter reality in the minds of his following translates to an ability to alter financial reality. He's wrong, yet no one in his inner circle has the courage to tell him.
I feel this one 50% true, 50% horseshit. You're getting there. His plan is not believable because he has changed course too many times. I can tell that Canadas strategy is to just hold out until Trump gives in.
I'm sure Canada isn't alone.
If U.S becomes near default your bond rates are going to skyrocket while the socialists lick their lips over the prospect of taking over and spending the U.S into hyper inflation.
U.S MUST bring back industries, jobs, revenue while protecting civil liberties. Trumps circle are probably telling him great stories to make him change back to a more "traditional" conservative economic policy (i.e allow outsourcing of jobs and big spending on military)
