The manager told Vince Coleman every time he hit a ball in the air he would be fined. He wasn't a great hitter but could beat out ground balls and bunts. Its what Scott II should be doing. Everyone thinks they are homerun hitters and cant bat for avg anymore.

My Dbacks have gone into a tailspin since their WS appearance last year. Corbin Carroll rookie all-star is batting .119 against fastballs! But at least he isn't batting leadoff he's dropped to 8th in the lineup.

In 2012 they were up 3-1 vs. SF. Proceeded to choke up 3 straight without 1 big hit. No big meaningful playoff hits since 2012 and yes, they made some playoffs.

They played no-field, no-arm, no-runner Matt Carpenter over 50 playoff AB in prime spots (#1,2 or #3)? Yet never a meaningful hit? Fowler got a bunch of AB too (Lazy Fowler) while Garcia, Arozerena types sat out? Because MOZ had to play his big money bone-headed moves? Remember Heyweird? 0.100 hitter.

I slowly gave up on STL. Shildt was making progress I thought. Not much but some. So he had to go.

I lost a lot of bets on Walker to hit an HR……in last years playoffs, WS? He hit 30+ in regular season and one playoff HR before I started betting On him? Then nothing for about 15 games? Arg! He could not hit the high FB.

I was at game 3 and I thought for sure that double was a homer off his bat. But that's how it is when your slumping. He's still slumping as is the entire lineup.
