Registering guns is in violation of the 14th Amendment equal protection....according to Haynes v. United States, criminals do not have to register their illegal guns because it would violate their protection against self incrimination...so you are not going to force normal people to register their guns while letting criminals get away with not registering their guns...and on top of that....
