I picked this one up this morning....A 1967 Canadian Centennial (1867-1967) Winchester Model 94 in .30-30. Like most of it's ilk it was unfired.

I mostly shy away from the Winchester commemoratives because half of them won't bring as much as a regular post-64 Model 94 will.

I liked this one right away because it's not as gaudy as most of them.....Just a maple leaf motif on the receiver. You can't tell it in the pics but like many older post-64 Win. 94s the metal is starting to get a slight purplish hue.

I gave $665.47 in Hoser Bucks for it......$485.00 US. ;)

This one without the box goes for around $650.00 US but the much more gaudy RCMP one goes for around $1200.00.

There's no accounting for taste eh?

Actually, I think only one or two have actually gone up in value out of the dozens produced over the years.

I had a John Wayne (silver mounted) and a Buffalo Bill that I bought at the same time years ago and did very well with as far as trade fodder went.

I think why I liked the Hoser one was that there was no big-ass medallion in the stock like most of them.
