I understand the difficulty even credible pollsters have in measuring Trump support but in the latest Gallup poll 56% of Americans admitted they are better off than they were when Obama was POTUS.

When informed of this by a reporter Biden gave an honest, off-the-cuff, typically Slo-Joe response. He said they "probably shouldn't" vote for him. :laughing0301:

I agree.

Gallup: 56% Say They’re Better Off than They Were 4 Years Ago - Biden Says They ‘Probably Shouldn't’ Vote for Him
Far more registered voters say they’re better off now than they were four years than say they’re worse off, a national Gallup Poll conducted September 14-28, 2020 reveals.

The 44% who don't admit it are just a little slow. Without the Chinese virus and the Democrat shutdowns designed to tank our economy, those numbers would be much higher. The Trump economy is obviously twice as good as the Obama economy ever was. Vote straight Republican

We did not wear masks under Obama
Which is totally meaningless.

It is quite meaningful if you compare today to four years ago

People did not wear masks or socially distance
People shook hands and hugged
Businesses were not closing down
People took vacations

How is that not better off than today?
Gee, it's almost as if something significant and out of anyone's control happened between then and now that caused people to do different stuff, but what could it be?

The question is.....Are we better off?

The obvious answer is we are not

Voting solely on whether you are better off is short sighted and dumb. Anyone with a sense of civic responsibility, or even morality, will vote based on how it will impact the nation as a whole, not just their own personal circumstances.

Been no real change in my life because of COVID.
