Now that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has finished his investigation of the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia, most voters say enough is enough. But many Democrats want to keep on going.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 31% of all Likely U.S. Voters think congressional Democrats should do their own investigation even though the Mueller probe has failed to prove that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government. Sixty-one percent (61%) say Democrats in Congress should move on to other issues. This compares to 29% and 64% respectively in mid-February. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on March 25-26, 2019 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

This will be a losing argument for dim wits... I hope they cling to it. The public is already well aware that they are liars.. I wonder how many bullets to the feet they can withstand... That over sized magazine holds endless rounds and they keep pulling the trigger...

The democrats are between a rock and a hard place. If they do not continue to investigate they are in trouble with their more rabid base. Besides they have no real dirt to hang on Trump like the Russia collusion to use in the next election.
If they do continue to investigate more and more will see it as try and get him by any means possible so not only do they create sympathy for Trump but if they do not find something major they look like fools and anything minor will look like nothing but we made it up sour grapes.

This may be the last few years of any type of power is held by the democrats for years to come

Without the Mueller report? It's hard to base a decision on Trumpybears hand picked Consigliere's letter that lifted a mere two sentences from the report Mueller compiled. Had Lynch exonerated Hillary by lifting a few words from Comey's statement in the summer of 2016, the GOP would have sung a different tune.

Or if Starrs report was deep-sixed by Reno. I don't see how either report can be covered under executive priviledge when congress was/is investigating crimes or abuses of power .. and not just by Trump and his admin/family.
