Wrong. Afghanistan is heating up again and the 10 1st Airborne is moving it's headquarters back to Bagdad next month. So Obama's neglect isn't paying off.

(CNSNews.com) - The debt of the federal government increased by $8,314,529,850,339.07 in President Barack Obama’s first seven years in office, according to official data published by the U.S. Treasury.

That equals $70,612.91 in net federal borrowing for each of the 117,480,000 households that the Census Bureau estimates were in the United States as of September.

During President George W. Bush’s eight years in office, the federal debt increased by $4,899,100,310,608.44, according to the Treasury. That equaled $44,104.65 in net federal borrowing for each of the 111,079,000 households that, according to the Census Bureau, were in the country as of Jan. 20, 2009, the day that Bush left office and Obama assumed it.

In the fifteen years from the beginning of Bush’s first term to the end of Obama’s seventh year in office, the federal debt increased $13,213,630,160,947.51.

If a Republican wins, which they wont, but if they do watch the debt climb just as much under them. Or can you show me any of the Republicans plans to reduce the debt? I bet you can't
Can you show any Democrats that aren't planning on increasing the debt?

He'll no.

Democraps actually think they have an argument.

Their defense is under Bush the debt went up......but mostly after they took over Congress. Still, their argument is under Bush the debt went up......only half as much as the first years of the Obama Administration, when the debt increased faster than at any time in US history. They also want us to forget that when Bush was president they complained he wasn't spending enough. Even today they blame everything on lack of funding. So what gives them the right to complain about the debt?

Yet they do.

Liars.

Bullshitters.

Well there is another excuse for BO's failure.
All you have to do is show me one candidate for president who says they are going to solve the debt. They use the debt as a boogie man when Democrats are in the White House and then when they are in charge you don't hear a word about the debt.

Question is, will we spend money on military missiles and bombs or poor people and infrastructure. At least the poor Americans spend their money in America so we actually get that money back. When we give money to the defense contractors, that money leaves America never to return.

Yes both parties deficit spend and clearly the R congress has no intention of stopping it. You may recall BO condemning W for his deficits calling him unpatriotic. Now BO is by far greatest deficit spender of all time... but lefties don't care.

You are under a common misconception held by lefties regarding defense spending. Both parties love it. BO is a huge spender on defense. You must learn to ignore what BO says and pay attention to his actions. As you would with an R POTUS.

Steph doesn't mention that Shrub left Obama with a $1.2 trillion deficit for fiscal year 2009....she neglects the total collapse of the economy that Obama had to dig us out of, that the cons made. She also ignores the fact that the cons control congress and the purse strings. She ignores the fact that Shrub doubled the national debt WITH A REPUBLICAN CONGRESS AND SENATE. Steph is still trying to convince others that cons are fiscally responsible. She doesn't want anyone to know that Obama has cut that $1.2 trillion annual deficit in half, and recovered the economy, and cut unemployment from 10% down to 5%. What a moron.

You ignore that Democrats controlled them during the first two years the boy was in office. You ignore that things passed during that time create debt. You ignore that when the unemployment you claimed started coming down didn't happen until Republicans took over the House. When Democrats controlled it up until January, 2011, it was still over 9%.

If Republicans in the House are control spending, how did Obama do something for which he has no authority. You give him credit for something he CAN'T do and ignore the part that can.

If so many are now working, why are so many MORE on food stamps?

OUR DEFENSE is the only thing this Federal government was suppose to be there for. WE have state Governments for the social programs. but these like the dem/lib/left in this thread have allowed the Feds to become a Monster that is now consuming us to pay for it

it's a shame more people don't UNDERSTAND how our governments are suppose to work

There was not a total collapse of the economy, though it was a near miss, and Bushes $1.2 Trillion deficit is nothing compared to the 2009 deficit of about $10 trillion.

Obama has taken the national DEBT to heights not seen since the second world war, as a percentage of GDP.

Entitlements are things that the government has negotiated with the people and guaranteed them as the result of a contract or voluntarily entered debt/obligation. For example the $152,000 I have paid into Social Security represents money the government owes me to be paid in Social Security benefits till the day I die. If the feds want to end this debt, then pay me back the debt owed plus interest first.

These are not negotiable without ruining the credit worthiness of the federal government.

And you dont want to see the government loose any more of its credit worthiness than Obama has already cost it.

Well there is another excuse for BO's failure.
The biggest excuse is that he draws 99% of his appointments, like Republicans also do, from the talent pool within his own party, and these days that is mighty thin drippings from the very shallow waiding puddles in the Dhimmicratic end of the pool.

You are correct. The only way to fix it is to reduce "freebies". But, reducing freebies means you will begin losing elections.

There is almost no chance that the country save itself.

The nation, i.e. the people of America, will save themselves.

The Republic I am not so sure about.

You think reducing freebees to poor people will put a dent in the debt? You're even dumber than I thought. This is just an attempt for the rich to stop helping the poor. Next will be your middle class stupid ass.
