It wasn't that long ago that in America people could publicly voice political opinions against those of the Liberal Ruling Class, without being called "fascists" or "racists". The libs have really cranked up the incivility in recent years.
Well, maybe because if you reduced all your arguments to racism and fascism, you'd have a discussion.
But the reality... you guys jumped over 10 totally sensible guys to nominate the idiot who said Obama was born in Kenya.
I remember when I was a teenager, before I started even voting, people arguing about the merits of the crazy plans of libs like McGovern or Wallace, and no one called them names at all.
Really? I seem to remember that time period differently. I remember race riots, assassinations, political terrorism (Weathermen, SLA, etc.) and people like my parents voting for Nixon because he promised "Law and Order" before he started breaking it.
I remember specifically a lively talk between a black guy who told a white guy that Wallace's plan to build a big boat to ship the blacks back to Africa was impractical and wouldn't occur even if Wallace was elected. The conversation was heated, but there was no name-calling and both were civil.
Well, yeah, because both people knew Wallace was crazy and that his plan was impractical. Oh, and there was no chance he could get elected.
The problem today is Trump is crazy, his plan is impractical, but you MAGA Nazis think he's the greatest thing ever. And even though the people clearly and loudly said no, he's trying to ram the wall down our throats anyway.
