Yes, that same logic applies to unmarried couples with children and that is why welfare statism is a major factor why things are so screwed up in Chicago. Financial hardship alone breaks up families, being able to collect more benefits from the system by not living with the other parent or that parent not being involved....incentivizes the break up of the family.

That's why the days of lower taxes and less regulation saw a more intact black family unit. There were more jobs, less unemployment in the black community...which meant they stayed together.And just so you know, not just the black family unit...all racial groups have been affected badly by welfare statism.
