A Handy Source of Fiscal Data, or "How Their Naked Ears Were Tortured By The Horseman's Ruthless Cipherin"

Right. And how much of that caused the recession to end in June 2009?
Actually one analysis was the cash for clunkers put the economy into positive GDP.

In The Effects of Fiscal Stimulus: Evidence from the 2009 "Cash for Clunkers" Program (NBER Working Paper No. 16351), co-authors Atif Mian and Amir Sufi find that in 957 U.S. cities, the surge in automobile sales was short-lived while the program was in place. About 360,000 automobile purchases were induced in July and August 2009.

Yeah, nothing like wasting a bunch of money after the recession already ended in June 2009.

The reason it ended in June, is that Detroit takes 6 weeks to build a car and get it to the dealers. So manufacturing started going up in June, in preparation for sales in July and August.

It was the rise in manufacturing, to make all the cars that would be sold in July and August 2008, that pushed the economy into positive GDP growth.

Oh....they didn't have already made cars on the lot when Obama signed it on June 24, 2009 and that's why the recession ended in June 2009. Because of car sales in July and August.

How long does it take a manufacturer to build a vehicle?

They estimate that a well-appointed car, truck, or SUV takes about 17 to 18 hours to assemble. Other manufacturers have similar numbers. Some lesser appointed vehicles can be assembled as quickly as 11 hours. The surprising part is that they are coming off the production floor about one vehicle every 45 to 90 seconds.

How long does it take for a car to be delivered after its built?

Domestically made vehicles typically take about eight weeks to arrive,

Not 390,000 of them. And Detroit had to ramp up it's supply chain a month in advance.

You know that the bill was in the works months before that.

MAY 5, 2009

Obama, lawmakers agree on "cash-for-clunkers" bill

Detroit knew it was coming since May, giving them 8 weeks (the usualy delivery time) to get cars to the dealers. They had to ramp up the supply chain, which is what pushed the economy into positive economic growth.

Or did you think magic fairies made the cars overnight? Out of thin air.

The New Right has somehow been gaslighted into bleeving that Republicans are fiscally responsible.

I have no idea how getting the rube herd to fall for this delusion was achieved.

I mean, to bleev such nonsense in the face of the numbers is absolutely incredible.

But bleev they do.
Yoi've beheld Toddsterpatriot look directly at the numbers and not get it...
