the citizens of the United States of America,

In the light of your failure to elect a competent President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective today. Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths and other territories (except Utah, which she does not fancy) Your new prime minister (The Right Honourable Tony Blair, MP for the 97.85% of you who have until now been unaware that there is a world outside your borders) will appoint a minister for America without the need for further elections. Congress and the Senate will be disbanded...

And to note, this is not current events. This was 10 years ago.

This was debunked years ago by Snopes.
They concluded it wasn't written by Cleese, and whoever penned it did so right after the 2000 presidential election, in regards to the debacle of that election.

I agree 2000 was a debacle. It was the start of destroying our elections with the fake pregnant, hanging and dimpled chads. It was also the moment in time When they realized if they got the sheep to believe that they’ll believe anything.

Cleese knows a Banana Republic when he see's one!!:banana:

Cleese sees how the US has become a banana republic but like most liberals, he's rubbing it in to troll conservatives. The guy is a shitlib through and through,

  • He started out as a Labor supporter.
  • He moved to the Social Democratic Party when they split from Labor.
  • He supported the Liberal Democrats when they merged with the SDP
  • He supported the coalition government
  • He supported Brexit, and UKIP. He supported Brexit for reasons falling across the political spectrum: Inequality, and the EU’s lack of accountability, but also concerns over the capacity to assimilate immigrants. He has since seemed to be disillusioned with the handling of Brexit and has relocated to Nevis.
  • He supported Barack Obama
  • He really, really hates Donald Trump
  • He’s an anti-smoking campaigner.
  • He declined a knighthood and a peerage.
  • He is agnostic, with a low opinion of organized religion.

Okay.
Just another comedian with no political sense like Zelensky.
Gotcha'!

Fuck snopes. Anyone believes those vermin are fools.

It's funny, doesn't matter if it's 'real'; more than one person has expressed similar actions.

Whoever originally wrote the piece, appears to have meant it as satire.

Just in case anyone wat to take it, or any similar intent seriously, remember that Britain did not grant us our independence. We fought for it. Twice.

And in the time since we last went to war wit Britain, over their desire to tell us how to run our country, we have grown in military power by orders of magnitude. If it should be necessary, again, to go to war with the UK over our sovereignty, the likely result would be the end of the UK itself a a sovereign nation.

The antics of a few British fools on this forum lead me to wish we would got o war with the UK. turn it into an American colony, and oppress the British as they once tried to oppress us.
