Can the forum create a socialist seciton or a socialist vs capitalism section? I believe it would be extremely successful and create loads of good content form both sides of the issue. It would be one of the most popular sections on the forum.

Threads like that can be created in Politics or Economy. We have a lot of different categories on this site already, some of which we don't even need anymore. I'm hesitant to request the creation of more.

No, this issue deserves its own section in my opinion. It's central and important enough to have its own area.

To be honest, from the posts I read on this and many forums, most that support Socialism and disses Capitalism don't actually know what they are or mean. That needs addressed first, imo.

We have central economic planning by a central bank.

We have a belief in deficit finance.

We have economic interventionism.

We have inflationism as a result.

We have a welfare state.

Until people develop an understanding of proper definitions and and understanding of what kinds of policies we actually have, such a comparison is an irrelevant waste of time.

We're so far removed from free-market capitalism that it is laughable to even call it that.

We're Keynesians now. And given the actual policies mentioned, I wouldn't say that they are all that far apart from socialism.

We already have a Socialist forum but it's titled the Paranormal forum.
You proved my point, thank you. We definitely need a capitalist vs socialist section, that way people can learn about both capitalism and socialism. I'm a socialist, but I want the pro-capitalists to have a place to debate socialists like me and present their arguments. It will be one of the most popular sections in this forum.

Word salad. The forum needs a section fully dedicated to the Capitalist vs Socialist paradigm. Let both pro-capitalists and socialists present their arguments and let the audience then decide for themselves. It will inform everyone about the strengths and weaknesses of capitalism and those of socialism as well. It will be educational, and eliminate much of the misinformation about both capitalism and socialism. I'm not afraid of having that section, but unfortunately, it appears many pro-capitalists don't want an open discussion dedicated to capitalism vs socialism.

Nice try but no. Open discussion in a section dedicated to Capitalism vs Socialism. Put capitalism first, and socialism second, I don't care. But there should be a section dedicated to this important controversy and divide, that way we can all present our cases for each. An open discussion on this topic will be one of the most important, popular sections of the forum.

I don't think you're qualified, based on your ''word salad'' pablum.

Start a thread on the topic and we can test my theory.
That's just a pretext for not having an open discussion and a section dedicated on this hot, important topic. You're just running away, that's all.

Oh, no, dear patriot.

I shall finish the game. Oh yes indeed.

Do it...

Exactly. You can debunk American socialists like me and show the world how dumb we are. Right? Why deprive yourself of that amazing opportunity to further expose and prove socialism completely deficient and impractical? If you pro-capitalists are so confident in the strength of your arguments for capitalism, then you would jump at the opportunity to debunk socialists like me. You would educate the public on how pathetic and worthless socialism is. Right? This forum should have a section dedicated to the Capitalism vs Socialism debate. It's that simple, and it would be one of the most popular, content-rich topics of this forum. It would also attract a lot of internet traffic.

Mr/Ms of the USMB forum, this topic will attract organic, search engine traffic from Google and other major search engines, increasing your ad revenue. It will help fund the forum.

I'm being serious, here's one from Sunday gone -

That's not a Capitalist vs Socialist section. Moreover, Biden isn't a socialist, nor any of the Dems, with maybe one or two exceptions. Bernie Sanders is more of a social democrat than a socialist. He's the closest we have to being socialist in our federal government, with maybe AOC a close second. There aren't any socialists in our federal government.

Ok, carry on.
