Activist Tommy Robinson arrested in Canada

Suddenly, Canada’s usually soft immigration and border entry system is throwing the book at somebody.

That somebody is British free-speech activist Tommy Robinson.

Robinson was arrested and detained by what looked like 10 law enforcement officers, some wearing lumberjack or farming attire, outside of a Calgary hotel after his speaking event Monday night. He was handcuffed and taken away. With it being undercover officers, it seemed at first like a kidnapping or rendition without much information on why he was being grabbed. It harkened to the perceived dictatorial hand of the Trudeau government’s Emergencies Act declaration during the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa in 2022.

Robinson, who’s birth name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon , is the co-founder the English Defence League, which it says is opposed to Islamic extremism. He has been jailed four times, has been labelled by British media as supporting “far-right” causes, has worked as a journalist for Rebel News in the past and currently operates as an independent journalist and commentator.

People in England either love Robinson or hate him. He may be one of the U.K.’s most famous people and certainly one of the its most controversial activists. A thorn in the side of law enforcement and government, on Nov. 11 he was arrested and jailed after leading a protest against anti-Israel demonstrators who were planning to climb London’s war memorial cenotaph.

Yes, and some of their stories are "I manipulated other people into doing stupid shit"

Though in Yaxley-Lennon's case most of those people are thugs anyway who support the likes of EDL, which was, for the most part and excuse to take over city centers and drink lots of alcohol and they realized they could do if they were "political" but not if they were anything else.
