Without stronger statewide standards, Rocca said she worries that some school districts will not do enough to develop skills that are critical for students and society.

Schools would do better by de-emphasising their liberal indoctrination and by teaching those kids some conservative principles and some critical thinking.

I've been both a liberal and a conservative in my lifetime and I can tell you with some authority that conservatives are far better at seeing through the hidden bias embedded within the media, movies, art, music, etc. Once you start thinking for yourself and start looking for the leftist bias, you start seeing just how prevalent it really is.

Teach them critical thinking and you won't be able to brainwash them with your conservative indoctrination.

Just kidding - if they learn to think critically they can figure out for themselves what is important, and they have to freedom to make an informed choice be it left or right or neither.
 
Schools would do better by de-emphasising their liberal indoctrination and by teaching those kids some conservative principles and some critical thinking.

I've been both a liberal and a conservative in my lifetime and I can tell you with some authority that conservatives are far better at seeing through the hidden bias embedded within the media, movies, art, music, etc. Once you start thinking for yourself and start looking for the leftist bias, you start seeing just how prevalent it really is.

Screw the conservative principles.

Teach them critical thinking and you won't be able to brainwash them with your conservative indoctrination.

Just kidding - if they learn to think critically they can figure out for themselves what is important, and they have to freedom to make an informed choice be it left or right or neither.

In order to think critically, one must have something in their head about which to critically think.
 
If we can teach them to read, that will be the end of liberalism.
