Hi everyone,
The Abrahamic Religions generally tend to regard animals and all other creatures as mere accessories created as their food and for their convenience. So...vegetarianism and animal rights don;t seem to figure very highly in the list of an orthodox Christian. Jews offer burnt animal flesh as offerings to their God. Muslims practice ritual killing of sheep and goats during Bakrid.
Even Christians don't seem to believe that they should practice vegetarianism. Some Christians I have spoken to seen to regard vegetarianism as rather quaint. Some even regard eating meat as compulsory to Christians.
Any views?

Those who are atheists view us all as glorified animals, so there are two stances to take.
1. Animals should have human rights, hence PETA
2. Humans, like animals, have no God given rights, hence slavery, socialism, abortion, euthenasia, etc, are all acceptable. In effet, humans can be treated as mere sheep to be herded and are not sacred as according to scripture.
Now in terms of religions, Christianity is superior since it is the only one that seems to allow eating bacon. In fact, I've converted about a dozen people on the gospel of bacon alone.
