Anyone have any tips or pointers for outdoor electronics?

I bought a flat screen TV to mount outside on my deck for watching sports outside with friends & family.
It's a 32" ROKU TV and I plan to mount it under the eves so it will be partially protected from the weather. But any other tips for extra protection would be appreciated!

1) Don't do it.

2) If you're gonna do it anyways, plug it into a GFCI outlet.

3) Don't do it.

Grounded outlet.

No one practices golf in the yard.

Don't watch porn on it?
Lol

You can always spend 20/30 K to enclose the deck around your "cheap" TV. ROKU sounds like something from a Jules Vern novel. But that is the ticket, 30/40 K to build a new deck to get outdoors and at the same time enclose the current deck to protect ROKU. That is the reasonable approach to this entire situation or move "game time" to the garage along with the deck appliances and sun in the drive. That way the current deck and newly attached deck can be turned into another bedroom for the viewing family and friends. Add 10K for the remodel to plug in a bathroom for them also. For a lousey 50K the problems are taken care of, game watching can continue, beer drinking can forge ahead, and let it rain, on the reflection. Happy to have been of help and feel free to ask any related questions I may be of help with. Gooo for the gusto, Grampa.
Already got a cover off Amazon for 25 bucks. But your 50k investment sounds interesting from a condescending perspective.

Condescending?? Nope, simply human nature to improve on improvements by making things more livable. Like first time gardeners, damn, I need more space! I wish someone had told me water melons get this big. But I hear you, loud and clear, you did not want any ideas to begin with. Now that is condescending. No more helpful hints from me. Now I am butthurt and I am not even close to being liberal, as yourself. Score one for Grampa Murked U. snark-snark

Always be sure at least one foot is in contact with water when plugging it in.
