The rugby was a lot of fun to watch even though I still cannot figure out the rules.

The US soccer team looked good against France for about 60 minutes and then it went to shit.

The soccer match between Spain and Uzbekistan was far more exciting.

That’s fine if it’s in the same spirit as letting a blind guy in a wheelchair carry the torch. You have the Olympic spirit by striving in spite of adversary, that kind of thing. If people are willing to display their mental illness, fine.

Why do we need to even have women's sports? Why not just have "Soccer," or "Softball," and not worry about what gender the competitors identify as? Wouldn't that be the fairest approach?

It's a political board, dude. Maybe you'd be happier at an all Olympics all the Time Board. Too bad that the Olympics and all of sports has been politicized by the efforts to put males in female roles. If they'd stop doing that, I'd be happy not to mention it.
