Are the wealthy that seek tax havens America's true moochers?

Of course i understand inflation, I also understand people who refuse to do what's necessary to advance themselves and want everyone else to pay their way. Giving them a raise they didn't earn is doing exactly that.
Giving them a raise is based on inflation. The last time someone could live comfortably off 10.10 per hour was the 70s.

You must be pretty young, $1,600 a month was pretty good money back in the 70s. I was working as an industrial mechanic/electrician and never made close to that and it was one of the few union jobs I've worked. Minimum wage has never been intended to be a living wage, it is an entry wage, a way for the young to get into the work force and get some experience while they get skills to move up the ladder.
18 million people make less than 10.10 per hour. Obviously that is a problem.

Yep, it's their problem, evidently they haven't done what's necessary to educate themselves or learn a skill to earn more. Don't try to make it the problem of those who have.
You people are so goddamn thick. Low wage jobs greatly outnumber higher wage jobs. That means millions of people have NO CHOICE but to accept low wage jobs.

Talk about thick, they need to do what's necessary to compete for the higher wage jobs, they have a choice, they chose to settle, that's something motivated people would never do. Life's a bitch and then you die, it's even more of a bitch when you're too stupid to do what you need to do to get ahead. But like I said, don't try to make that the problem of people who do. Excuses are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink.

Oh for Christ's sakes. Can't you pay attention? Even if those millions of people tried their darndest, most of them couldn't get a better paying job IF THEY TRIED.

When they are actually trying in a substantial manner, get back to me, I might actually be willing to give those folks a hand up, of course there are a thousand federal, state and local programs that already do that. But don't tell me we have to give them a raise just for showing up to a menial job. Don't bother to respond, if you haven't figured out these people are where they are as a result of their own choices you never will, I'm done.

I don't get it are you just this dumb or are you too immature to admit you are wrong?

Sorry, but who's thick?

Do you know why there are only low paying jobs available? The regulatory environment, coupled with corporate tax rates and now rising energy costs here at home and the security offered by our free trade agreements in moving production overseas, has made it more profitable to pick up shop and fuck off. The Dems told us not to worry. . . We were just following a long time trend and transitioning into a service economy. LOL

And that, my friend, is human nature... moving onto where the grass is greenest. People go into business to make money, not for the glory of humankind. If there's a better path to money than the one I'm on, it's only natural that I should desire to adjust course. So the problem is that the government has created an environment where, other than the jobs required to distribute goods directly to our market, it's not profitable to do business here. Your solution is that the government should tighten the clamps FURTHER on the businesses here at home? Pressure those overseas rich fucks morally, as though your opinions on proper loyalty to society mean more to them than continued success? I say we unclench the asshole of the EPA a bit, reform the big three government spenders before they bury us, drop some of our social "needs", and make this an advantageous place to build a factory again. Attracting flies with a little sugar works better than playing on collectivist morals that they don't share.

Also, not every task is worth a living wage, but that's a different reality vs leftist morals argument altogether.

Amusing how the left is always so generous with other people's money.
You know, even some slaves would do anything for their massas. Republicans are slaves to the wealthy. They would eat bugs and live in shit holes if the wealthy told them to. They are so brainwashed, they don't believe the wealthy should pay to support that country that made them rich.

Apparently they think the government should pay for all the services it offers them. Highways be damned!

I think it's safe to say. The wealthy should be taxed the most not because it is what's fair, but because it's what's the most realistic. That is where the main source of our government funding comes from (regardless of whether or not the president in charge is over spending). Even if you don't agree with that logic, you should at least agree the greed that keeps wealthy people from paying taxes is flat out wrong.

You might want to ask that of Obama's job Czar, Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of General Electric, who is one of the top outsourcers of jobs in this country. One that even ultra liberal Dennis Kucinich complained about.
Kucinich to Immelt Resign - TheStreet

Then you might want to ask Obama--why is it that General Electric made 108 billion dollars in 2011 and didn't have to pay a single penny in Federal Taxes on it.
General Electric Avoids Taxes By Keeping 108 Billion Overseas

Isn't funny how politicians like Obama campaign on one thing, and then promote the exact opposite?

Well, it's become pretty obvious by now that Obama isn't the socialist that right wingers constantly harp about. Jeffery Imelt is the worst kind of scum our capitalistic system has managed to create. What we need is a system that punishes rather than rewards jobs outsourcing.

Page 75............directly relates to the Liberal Brigade BTW...................

They keep stating that the Economy is great and how many people Obama is putting to work...........
TELL THAT TO THE IRS THEN..............

90,230,000 employed 2012
83,613,000 employed at close of fiscal year 2013...

OOPS..............so much for the liberal BS on jobs.........from the IRS.

How many retired?

How didn't they earn it? Employees make all the money for the company.

Ah, R-Derp? You are by far the most brain washed person on this board. You don't have an opinion until you're given one by Think Progress, MSNBC or the Huffington Post. You're the KING of partisan strings that get laughed out of existence.

Another fail of a Billy troll thread.
Hey, BIlly. Instead of bitching about rich people why dont you try becoming one?

Employees make money for the company using assets that were paid for by the company or individuals that they work for! Yes, UAW workers make cars but they wouldn't be able to do so unless someone built a factory for them to work in and paid suppliers for the parts to build those cars. They wouldn't have the skills to build those cars if someone else didn't pay to train them. This notion that employees make all the money for companies is so ridiculous it's laughable yet you folks on the left keep trotting it out. You must think it "sounds good"...but for anyone who spent more than a few hours in an economics class it's nonsense.

Employers build the platform, employees make all of the money for the company.
